Yeshiva Academic Calender

During Zman (the learning semester), Bircas HaTorah accepts students for any period of time, as long as they are committed to the Yeshiva program for full, consecutive days of learning. The Yeshiva has classes Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Fridays are open for private learning or informal study with other students.

There are 3 breaks a year as indicated in the "Approximate Hebrew Dates" column. In addition, during the festival of Chankuah, the Yeshiva schedule is half day in order to facilitate candle lighting. The Hebrew dates are approximate, because Zman never starts on a Thursday, Friday or Shabbos. If the Hebrew start date falls on a Thursday, Friday or Shabbos - it is pushed off to the following Sunday.

Fast days are half-day until 2:00PM.

All days before a major holiday (Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Shavuos and Tisha B'Av) are off.
